There was once a young girl who had been born blind.
She hated everything about the world. She couldn't see it. She couldn't stand it.
She hated it all, except for her boyfriend. He loved her, despite her blindness, and she loved him.
She could tell him anything, and he would listen.
One day, the girl tells her boyfriend, "If ever I can see the world you see, I will marry you."
A week or so later, the girl gets excellent news. A pair of beautiful green eyes have been donated to her.
She goes to have the eyes put in. The surgery goes great.
The girl was so happy about her new eyes. Now, she could see everything around her.
She told her boyfriend to meet her in the park so she could share the good news.
But, when she arrived at the park where her boyfriend was waiting, she discovered that he was blind.
The boyfriend smiled when he realized who was there with him.
He asked the girl, "So, now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"
The girl turned him down, and the boy returned to his home, heartbroken and crying.
A few days later, the girl got a letter in the mail. It was from her boyfriend.
Reluctantly, she opened the letter. Five words were scrawled on the paper.
"Take care of my eyes..."
